Department Business Support Roles Discovery is proud to be successfully accredited by the Great Places To Work Programme for the third year in row in 2023.The Assistant Supported Employment Manager will work closely with the Supported Employment Manager to provide coaching and mentoring to Employment Co-ordinators.
The post holder will in conjunction with the Supported Employment Manager, take responsibility for ensuring that the service is providing exemplar support, embedding Discovery's approach to supporting the people we support.The post holder will act as a role model for colleagues helping to ensure that the people we support achieve identified outcomes.
They will recognise that every moment has potential and will work with employment colleagues to ensure that they identify the opportunities to support the people we support into employment opportunities.Interview will be face to face on the 19th December in Highbridge.About the role:Coach and mentor employment colleagues to develop their skills, identifying gaps in knowledge and experience, working with the Supported Employment Manager to ensure these areas are overcome.Undertake regular performance reviews for colleagues in line with Discovery's policies.Develop and maintain good relationships with employers, promoting the benefits of employing customers we are working with by demonstrating the values of discovery and supported employment.Work with the Supported Employment Manager to induct new employment team colleagues into the service, ensuring they have the knowledge and understanding of the people supported to be fully effective.About you: Experience of working to improve services in the field of learning disability and/or autism services Ability to recognise poor practice and implement improvements Experience of working with families, circles of support and other professionals in a multi-disciplinary approach Working knowledge of supported employment and current thinking in this field, keeping up to date through a range of mediumsWhy join us?Discovery are committed to developing skills and rewarding our staff.
