You will be employed by HomeCareDirect on behalf of the client and your focus will be to support them only.
We have 3 roles available for our client as follows: Post 1) Monday to Friday - 24 hours per week - shifts between 08:00 - 20:00 - £16.15 per hour Post 2) Monday to Friday - 36 hours per week - shifts between 08:00 - 20:00 - £16.15 per hour Post 3) Waking Nights - 36 hours per week - shifts on a Thursday - £16.15 per hour, Saturday and Sunday 20:00 - 08:00 - £19.23 per hour About the Client and Duties We are looking for exceptional, dedicated, skilled personal care assistants to join our clients existing care team.
Our client has complex care needs and lives independently in his own home with his wife, who is his main carer.
As a member of the caring team, you'll be responsible for a wide range of tasks that can vary day to day, so an amount of flexibility is required.
Some of the main duties include: Administration of medication Moving and Handling with Hoist Gastrostomy Care / PEG feeding Personal Care Assisting in the community Administrative duties Light housework Ideally, you would also have previous experience with Status Epilepticus and practical experience of giving Buccal Midazolam and be able to identify and understand a medical emergency.
It is our clients preference to have non-smokers.
Requirements Training and Support: We provide comprehensive, paid training to CQC standards covering: Full induction Safeguarding Adults Health & Safety / First Aid / Food Hygiene Moving & Handling with Hoist Gastrostomy Care / PEG Feeding All training must be completed before the start date, with training hours paid at minimum wage Requirements: You should have excellent communication skills You will be friendly and dynamic with a strong personality and common sense You should have at least 6 months of recent complex care experience, which will include dealing with seizures, PEG feed, catheter and administering medication Commitment to long-term, person-centred care You must be reliable, compassionate and committed to respecting confidentiality Benefits Our organisation is committed to safe and fair recruitment, safeguarding and protecting those we care for and serve.
