You will be employed by HomeCareDirect on behalf of the client and your focus will be to support them only.
This role is worked over a 3 week rota as follows: Week 1: 2 x 11hr shifts Week 2: 2 x 11hr shifts Week 3: 3 x 11hr shifts You should be available to pick up weekend shifts and be flexible to cover additional shifts due to sickness or holidays.
About the Client and Duties Our client is a lovely young lady who sustained a traumatic brain injury following a road traffic accident. Due to this she is now unable to use her left arm and has weakness in her left leg. She uses a wheelchair but can walk short distances. She lives independently in a bungalow which has been adapted to meet her needs and you will support her at home with personal care, moving and handling, medication administration and with daily living. She also has many interests and likes to take part in activities which include going to the gym, horse-riding, cooking and visiting her family. You will support her to enjoy life to the full and will need to have previous care experience and an understanding of brain injury.
You will need to drive our clients vehicle for this role so you should have a full, clean, UK driving licence.
