Job summary To be part of a team delivering the immunisation programme to school children in schools across Portsmouth for HIOW NHS Trust.
You will be expected to relay key health promotion messages to children, families, and staff in education.
Contribute to the planning and giving of the immunisations and rolling out the programme across the cities.
You may be required to work flexible hours to ensure good coverage at times convenient to the public.To work with the School Aged Immunisation Team in promoting good health in school age childrenCommunity engagement by working to support the uptake of immunisations by supporting parents in understanding immunisations, promotion of the programmes, working with schools and supporting with the completion of consent forms.Deliver nasal flu vaccination under supervision of registrant, within the scope of Standard Operating Procedure.Promote children, family and young people participation in service delivery and development through feedback and engagement sessions.To ensure positive uptake of vaccination programmes to protect the community from disease.
