Position: Support Worker Team Leader Location: Solihull  Pay: 18.00 per hour  Hours: Full time flexible  Overview:  We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Support Worker Team Leader to join our team.
The successful candidate will carry out daily activities in line with the individualised support plan, ensuring high-quality care and support for our client with complex autism and learning disabilities.
Must hold a full UK driving licence.

You'll be providing bespoke support and future care to a male, whose individual needs include: Complex Autism/Learning Disability with sensory processing difficulties and challenging behaviours including rigidity, obsessions, and fluctuating arousal levels leading to Behaviours of Concern.
Non-speaking Autism and communication challenges.
Seizures and Medication.
Our client is a young adult in his early 20's, who currently lives at home with his family, however we are looking for a team to build on his independence as he progresses to his own home.
His speech is limited, and he relies on a Total Communication Approach.
He enjoys going out into the community to access walks, activities like bowling and trampolining; he can find this challenging but wants support to live a varied and meaningful life.
The right candidate should be: Confident and assertive when necessary, able to make quick decisions when needed.
Extensive experience with autism, challenging behaviours, and sensory processing difficulties.
Good sense of humour and fun.
Sensitive to changes in body language/regulation levels - identifying early warning signs that require immediate and dynamic support.
Supportive of the client's aspirations to live a meaningful life and follow through with scheduled activities.
Happy to engage in physical activities such as long walks, trampolining, and bowling.
Able to drive the client's own vehicle.
Key Responsibilities: Individual Support: Provide personalised support to the client, helping him to develop essential life skills and achieve his personal goals Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and companionship, helping the client feel valued and understood .
Personal Care: Assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and other daily living activities.
Healthcare Monitoring: Monitor the client's health condition, administer medication, and ensure that any medical appointments are attended.
Community Engagement: Support the client in accessing community facilities and participating in social activities.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Team Leader, other professionals and stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Requirements: Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the learning disabilities sector.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
Empathy: A caring and supportive attitude, with patience and sensitivity to the needs of people with different health issues.
Flexibility: Ability to adapt to the varying needs of a client and handle different situations effectively.
Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in health and social care are often preferred.
