About The Role Support Worker -  Marshfield, Cardiff - Hourly Rate £11.60 to £12.50 - Full Time  40.25 hours per week   The Old Vicarage provides a warm and welcoming home for up to 10 adults aged 18 and above.
Nestled in the tranquil rural setting of Marshfield near Newport, our residence offers a spacious and comfortable environment.
Each room features an ensuite bathroom, and our residents have access to large communal areas, laundry facilities, and well-equipped kitchens.
Outside, our beautifully maintained gardens provide plenty of outdoor space for relaxation and enjoyment A day in the life of working at The Old Vicarage includes: Ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment Support our individuals during recreational activities, outings and community integration Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our individuals, celebrating their achievements and milestones Working together to ensure support is tailored to meet individual needs Keeping accurate records of all activities, progress, and incidents should they arise General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation Sound good so far?
We are looking for people who care and have: A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts A driving licence isn't essential, but would be advantageous Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
