Support Worker

Assist service users with personal care, including undressing, washing, bathing, toileting, and managing mobility or physical disabilities, including incontinence and personal equipment.
Act as a key worker for one or more clients, ensuring all documentation is detailed and up-to-date.
Promote mental and physical well-being by engaging service users in conversations, activities, hobbies, and recreational pursuits.
Perform domestic tasks, including making and changing beds, assisting with laundry, and managing household chores.
Write reports, attend meetings, and participate in training as directed.
Follow the organisation's policies and procedures, including care plans, medication protocols, and safeguarding guidelines.
Report significant changes in service users' health or circumstances to the registered manager.
Enable service users to maintain autonomy and independence as much as possible.
Support service users in identifying risks, developing, and recording risk-minimisation plans Involve and consult with service users, families, and advocates to ensure wishes and preferences are respected and documented.
Identify and appropriately support service users with or without capacity, recording decisions for those who lack capacity.
Attend reviews of care as required.
Attend mandatory training, pursue vocational qualifications, and seek additional learning opportunities.
Contribute to inspections, adhere to codes of practice, and ensure good practice standards are maintained.
Act to safeguard service users from abuse and report any concerns immediately.
Be adaptable and work across all Filey care units as needed.
