Support Worker - Complex Care - The Wilf Ward Family Trust Salary£12.05 per hour plus additional for weekend work LocationWhitby Permanent,Full Time Stakesby Road (Full time and Part time required) Are you looking for a Support Worker role where you will be rewarded and recognised within a fantastic team ?

The Wilf Ward Family Trusthave a great opportunity for you to join our team at one of our registered services, Stakesby Road.
As a Support Worker you will provide person centred support for three individuals who have complex health needs and learning disabilities at their home, which is in the seaside town of Whitby.
No two days are the same, the individuals we support require and receive 100% support in all aspects of their lives.
Some day-to-day tasks include: Personal care.
Meal preparation.
Monitoring, recording, and administering medication.
Assistance with mobility.
Accompanying individuals to a range of activities including cinema trips, shopping, eating out, arts and crafts, and swimming.
You should be an effective communicator be prepared to use different communication tools and methods and follow the lead of the person you're communicating with, as we have a variety of different communication styles.
Flexibility is essential as the role includes working every other weekend and shifts are varied on a rota basis to include mornings, afternoons, & evenings.

Driver preferred due to remote location.
Please be aware its a criminal offence for people who are barred from working in Regulated Activity (under the Safeguarding and Vulnerable Groups Act 2006) to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with that particular group such as adults or children.
Please note any successful job offer will be conditional based on pre employment checks such as DBS and referencing prior to a start date agreed.
