Job Title: Supply Planner Location : Uxbridge (Hybrid - 2 days a week in the office) Salary : Up to £48,000 depending on experience The Advocate Group are proud to be partnering with a global FMCG business, looking for a qualified Supply Chain professional to join their busy EMEA team.
As a Supply Planner who will be part of the EMEA Operations Planning Team located in London, you will be responsible for meticulously planning, processing, and managing finished goods purchase orders to maintain optimal stock levels.
This role ensures consistent product availability while optimising inventory across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage short and long-term supply plans in line with company policies, ensuring stock availability and meeting inventory turnover targets.
Confirm purchase orders with co-packers, including delivery dates, quantities, units, and Bill of Materials.
Proactively identify and address risks related to slow-moving or obsolete goods by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Monitor for potential stock-outs due to production delays or demand changes, adjusting supply plans and taking corrective actions to maintain product availability.
Collaborate with product development and project teams to support new product launches, ensuring on-time and in-full (OTIF) delivery.
Manage phase-in/phase-out transitions to support project launches while minimising business waste.
Regularly update purchase orders and master data in SAP to ensure system accuracy and reliability in alignment with operational plans.
Foster strong relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Ensure accurate planning parameters in SAP/APO, regularly reviewing to optimise inventory levels.
Monitor co-packer performance, ensuring adherence to plans and driving continuous improvement.
Issue supply plans to co-packers, conducting regular reviews to align with Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and timelines.
Anticipate and manage long-term capacity planning, developing contingency plans as needed.
Analyse demand and supply patterns to determine necessary stock levels by SKU while achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
Conduct regular root cause analysis on KPIs, including out-of-stock rates, inventory turnover, plan compliance, and purchase order maintenance.
Qualifications: Over 3 years of experience in supply planning within the FMCG industry.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
High sense of urgency and responsibility.
Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, international team environment.
Capable of performing well under pressure.
Strong mathematical skills, including proficiency in measurement conversions.
Solid understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with SAP APO/IBP or JDA (Blue Yonder) is desirable.
Ability to work independently, achieve goals, and meet deadlines.
