Teaching Assistant close the Fareham area Starting January 2025 Salary: £78-£90 per day (depending on experience) Hours: 08:30 - 15:30 Part-time temporary, potential for permanent role About the role: Primary TA role in a school in the Fareham area.
You will be working part-time, starting October 2024.
The role also has the opportunity to become permanent.
About the School:
The Ofsted rated 'Good' school is based close to the Fareham area for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 800 students in total.
The school prides itself on its high teaching standards as well as a friendly and enthusiastic team who collaborate on all aspects of teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers to design and deliver engaging lessons across various subjects.
- Offer personalised or small group support to students, including those with special educational needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning.
- Contribute to the creation of educational materials and resources.
- Support the teacher in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a disciplined, respectful atmosphere.
- Assist in monitoring and assessing student progress.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role is desirable.
- Experience working with SEN students is an advantage.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting students' academic and personal development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude toward challenges.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Relevant qualifications in Teaching Assistance or Education are advantageous but not essential.
