Secondary Teaching Assistant - Maidstone Full-Time, Long-Term Contract (January 2025 - July 2025) Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people?
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated 'Good' and popular secondary school in Maidstone.
This full-time, long-term position offers the chance to work in a supportive and vibrant educational environment from January 2025 to July 2025.
About the Role: The successful candidate will support students aged 11-18 on a one-to-one and small group basis, focusing on those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Your role will be pivotal in helping students overcome challenges, build confidence, and achieve their potential.
What We Are Looking For: We are seeking individuals with the following qualities and experience:
Experience in SEND Support: Previous experience supporting children and young people with SEND is highly beneficial.
Interpersonal Skills: Patience, understanding, and the ability to work effectively with students presenting additional needs or challenging behaviour.
Specialised Training: While not essential, training in Makaton, PECS, or Team Teach would be an advantage.
Flexibility and Teamwork: A proactive approach and willingness to collaborate with a dynamic team of educators.
Enhanced DBS: An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or the willingness to obtain one.
