Part-Time LSA in Primary School - Waterlooville Area Starting in the new academic year Salary: £78 - 90 per day (depending on experience) About the School:
The school is an Ofsted rated 'Good ' primary school in the Waterlooville area.
They are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to start in September, on a part-time basis with the possibility of becoming a permanent role.
Job Description:
The Support Staff position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities aimed at fostering success for both students and teachers in the educational setting.
You will play a vital part in the learning process by collaborating closely with teachers to plan and implement lessons across various subjects.
This teamwork helps ensure lessons are both engaging and effectively presented.
A key component of your role is providing personalised support to students, particularly those with additional needs.
This may involve working directly with students one-on-one, offering them the guidance, motivation, and resources necessary to achieve their academic goals.
Your efforts will be essential in creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities: Expertise in delivering literacy and numeracy interventions at Key Stages 3 and 4.
Skilled in one-on-one support and leading small groups, particularly within Pupil Premium programmes to drive measurable progress.
Strong understanding of diverse learning difficulties and the ability to create effective strategies to help students overcome these challenges.
Excellent attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and database management, supporting the school's student monitoring processes.
GCSEs in English and Mathematics at Grade C or above, with HTLA or equivalent qualifications Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an LSA or in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable.
- A passion for education and supporting students' academic and personal development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards challenges.
- Experience with SEN children is an asset
Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Relevant qualifications in Teaching Assistance or Education are advantageous but not essential.
