Job summary Please note we do not offer sponsorship for this role due to the skill requirementThis post offers an excellent on-the-job training opportunity in our customer focused, proactive Supplies and Procurement Department which is responsible for purchasing a comprehensive range of goods and services and delivering an enhanced materials management services to wards and theatres.
Main duties of the job This role entails a range of supply chain duties that encompasses, delivery and distribution of goods using electric towing tugs, raising orders, stock receipting, stock delivery, stock management and stock replenishment.
The post involves the use of computerised ordering systems and Microsoft Office Applications Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.Candidates should have good interpersonal and customer service skills, a good standard of written and verbal English, good organisational skills and be able to work as an effective team member together with a flexible and self-motivated approach to work.In the event of a high response to this advertisement this post will be closed.

3 GCSE grades of C or above Good standard of general edducation Desirable NVQII in procurement or warehousing CIPS qualified Experience Essential Experience of stock control & stock control systems Experience in general warehousing duties Ability to prioritise workload in response to service need Experience of handling customer telephone queries Experience of using purchase to pay to pay (P2P) systems Customer service experience Experience of receiving, checking and receipting stock Experience of raising or receipting purchase orders Desirable Previous experience working within NHS Material Management Experience of handling and resolving customer queries Experience of working across boundaries to develop networks with key stakeholders Experience of NHS ordering systems Ability to work autonomously and be accountable for own actions Ability to understand, interpret and critically analyse data and information Personal Qualities Essential Positive mindset in respect of - Supporting organisational change; learning, and continuous improvement.
