We have an opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join the management team at our Ardeer site.
This role is responsible foroverseeing and managing every stage from purchasing the raw materials to the delivery of the final product, whilst ensuring that the customer requirements are met through active interaction with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities: Manage the customer order scheduling at each stage of the process to ensure an OTIF target of 98% is achieved Maintain communication with sales on current lead time and identify potential opportunities of spare capacity Ensure that all supply materials are available to fulfil requirements e.g.
raw materials, packaging and consumables according to production plan Create and maintainefficient procurement systems and processes to support 98% OTIF Support and be proactive in the creation of appropriate methodologies as well as continuous process improvement throughout all operational processes Develop and create appropriate structure to support all material sourcing, procurement and logistics activities whilst supporting, training and developing staff to ensure that the necessary skills are in place Review and improve processes in order to ensure: Potential issues are identified and work with the wider teams to improve the operations of the Ardeer Plant Material flow and reconciliation is achieved Ensure stock count is completed in line with agreed instructions and any adjustments are controlled Manage finished goods, raw material, packaging, pallets and cores stock on site Ensure raw materials, packaging and other consumables are available as part of the overall manufacturing plan Negotiate prices and other supply arrangement for packaging and consumable items Contract manage miscellaneous services to site Manage negotiation of freight and outside storage Minimise next day deliveries and costs associated with this Ensure that third party suppliers for transport are delivering to agreed SLAs Qualifications: Degree level or equivalent experience MCIPS or BPICS is desirable Significant experience within planning & sourcing for large and diverse manufacturing organisations Experience working in a fast-paced environment Technical polymer knowledge would be desirable Proactive and solution focused Focus on continuous improvement Ability to prioritise duties while maintaining flexibility Resilient Excellent IT skills JBRP1_UKTJ
