Based in Shropshire, the company continues to expand and requires a highly motivated professional to lead and optimise its supply chain operations.
Role Overview The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain process, from the procurement of raw materials to the delivery of finished products.
They will work closely with procurement, production, operations and logistics teams to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
The successful candidate will drive the company's supply chain strategy, ensuring that high standards of quality, sustainability, and compliance are maintained.
Key Responsibilities : Managing the end-to-end supply chain process, including sourcing raw materials and coordinating the delivery of finished goods.
Developing and implementing supply chain strategies in alignment with the company's business goals.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts to secure cost-efficient services.
Monitoring inventory levels and production schedules, and forecasting demand to avoid stock shortages or overstocking.
Collaborating with internal teams such as production, quality control, and sales to ensure smooth operations.
Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings across the supply chain.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, sustainability policies, and industry standards.
Leading and mentoring a team of supply chain professionals.
Candidate Requirements : Proven experience in supply chain management, ideally within the food and beverage or FMCG sectors.
Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Familiarity with supply chain software and inventory management systems.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of sustainability practices in supply chain management is advantageous.
Qualifications : At least 5 years of experience in a supply chain role, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial position.
Relevant industry certifications or qualifications are highly desirable.
