Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll oversee the entire supply chain process-from planning and organising to supervising and streamlining operations.
Working closely with the Production Management and Customer Service teams, you'll ensure products are delivered on time, efficiently, and cost-effectively, while maintaining essential flexibility for both our customers and the business.
£40,000 - £45,000 DOE Full time - Permanent 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 8am to 12.30pm.
Blandford, Dorset Key Responsibilities Work with Customer Service teams to handle customer demand, manage expectations, and make any needed adjustments smoothly.
Coordinate supply chain activities like planning, sourcing, and logistics to meet demand.
Collaborate with Production Management to create and manage production plans.
Manage stock levels of raw materials and finished products to meet targets.
Set up and manage stock control systems to keep inventory accurate.
Forecast demand and materials needed to keep everything running on time.
Communicate demand needs across the supply chain to keep everyone aligned.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, handling pricing, cost savings, and any issues that arise.
Lead planning and purchasing efforts, including training and coaching where necessary.
Keep improving tools and processes to boost team and business performance.
Assist in launching new products by working closely with Engineering and Quality teams.
Track key performance indicators and resolve any issues to meet business goals.
Who We're Looking For We're looking for a Supply Chain professional who's keen to grow.
You'll need hands-on experience in manufacturing, be eager to make a positive impact, and ready to step up into a more senior role.
You should bring a flexible and approachable attitude, be open to new ideas, and have a strong interest in making things run better.
Skills and Qualifications Experience in Master Scheduling, Inventory Management, and Supplier Management.
Strong background in logistics, distribution, and demand forecasting for manufacturing.
Familiar with Lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
Ideally, CIPS Level 4 qualified.
Additional Skills Comfortable using business systems like ERP and MRP.
Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to manage multiple projects independently.
Detail-focused, resilient, and confident.
Skilled in Microsoft Office with strong communication abilities.
Customer-focused and solution-driven.
