The Role We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Assistant to join our team in Manchester to support Club L London's supply chain operations.
This role is essential for ensuring that products move efficiently from our suppliers to customers, helping maintain stock availability and uphold quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion, excellent organisation and communication skills, and a foundational knowledge of supply chain principles.
Roles and Responsibilities • Order Management: Manage and track purchase orders with our merchandising department and ensuring that deadlines are met for intended handover dates from suppliers.
• Logistics Support: Coordinate with logistics providers to manage inbound shipments and ensure timely delivery to our Distribution Centre or retail partners.
• Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and organise documentation for import/export requirements, invoices, and customs compliance.
It is essential that good audit trail records are kept in place for government compliance purposes.
Data Management and Reporting: Maintain supply chain databases and produce regular reports on inventory status, delivery performance, and supplier metrics.
• Process Improvement: Work with the Supply Chain Manager to identify and implement efficiencies that streamline operations and reduce costs.
What does good look like?
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in supply chain, logistics, or purchasing, ideally within the fashion or retail sector.
Skills: • Intermediate experience in Excel and experience with ERP or supply chain software.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with suppliers and team members.
