The role of the Supplies Department at The Manor Hospital is to control & maintain the levels of hospital supplies and as a Supplies Assistant it will be your job to keep track of and control stock across the hospital to continually ensure the right items are always in the right location.
The Supplies Department consists of one major store, one theatre store & 20 department stores.
As a Supplies Assistant, you will: Receive and check all deliveries to the hospital.
Unbox and put away stock within the main supplies store.
Do regular stock takes within the hospital departments.
Routinely top up stock to agreed levels.
Maintain clean and tidy stock rooms throughout the hospital.
Prepare and deliver theatre packs from stock held within main supplies store.
Adhere to record keeping processes in an accurate and timely manner - for example: receipting goods in and out.
Ensure stock records are correct and match the physical holding on site.
Be involved in reviewing departmental requirements for current needs.
Participate in monthly stocktaking.
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic person to join the Hospital Supplies Team.
You must be: Responsive, responsible and adaptable.
Self-starter, motivated and willing to learn.
Articulate, with good organisation skills.
Able to take instruction, but think and work well independently, as well as within a team, managing own time keeping to resolve issues in a robust fashion.
Dynamic thinker, who is IT literate, and can use hands on experience to drive their work focus.
Ability to prioritise work load and works well under pressure can react to changes within real time.
Excellent communication skills and methodical thinking.
The ability to carry out administrative tasks, basic mathematics and understand business operations.
Experience in previous and/or similar position(s).
