Job Purpose: As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in delivering an effective fostering service that promotes positive outcomes for looked-after children.
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload while overseeing the recruitment, assessment, training, and support of foster carers.
Key Responsibilities: Foster Carer Management: Recruit, assess, and monitor the suitability of foster carers, ensuring they provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Safeguarding: Implement and monitor safeguarding practices to protect children's welfare and comply with statutory requirements.
Training and Support: Provide training and ongoing support to foster carers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the needs of the children in their care.
Case Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
Collaboration: Work closely with other professionals, including social workers, education staff, and healthcare providers, to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
