Studio/Performance Technician

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Studio/Performance TechnicianTo provide technical support to teaching, events and productions at Bath Spa University.
About the Role Within this role you will provide technical support for in-house, visiting, and off-campus teaching and productions.
You will oversee AV support in teaching and creative spaces, supervise Get In and Get Out for shows, and prepare facilities and equipment for events.
Responsibilities include managing equipment loans, ensuring health and safety compliance, maintaining stock and technical documentation, and coordinating orders and deliveries.
About You You will have up-to-date knowledge of professional equipment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain specialist equipment.
A solid understanding of health and safety procedures, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.
You will be customer-focused, self-motivated, flexible and eager to learn and expand your skill set.
Additional Information Salary: Grade 5, £28,879 to £32,296 per annum Significant working in the evenings and at weekends will be required for this role.
As you will be required to work on any of our sites you will be expected to have a driving licence and ideally have access to a car for travelling out of hours.
Please note that as of April 2024, there has been a change in the UKs sponsorship threshold.
Regrettably as the salary for this role falls beneath this, you will not be eligible for sponsorship therefore your application will automatically be rejected.
