Job Title: Student Wellbeing Manager Location: Leicester Accountable to: Head of Welfare and Skills Contract: Full time hours, starting ASAP - 04.07.2025 Hourly rate : £18 per hour Are you passionate about supporting student wellbeing and making a positive impact in education?
Protocol are working with a college based in Leicester looking for a proactive and compassionate Student Wellbeing Manager to enhance our welfare services and ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and promote wellbeing initiatives and support services.
Assist with safeguarding and be part of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) team.
Monitor and support the progress and attendance of specific student groups.
Oversee wellbeing services, including mental health support and student assistance programs.
Guide staff on supporting students with additional needs.
Contribute to the development of the College's Skills Strategy.
Essential Criteria: GCSE Grade 4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent) Minimum of 2 A-levels or equivalent Level 3 qualification DBS on the update service Experience in a welfare/support role with young people Strong knowledge of safeguarding, confidentiality, and external agency collaboration A positive, student-focused attitude and commitment to their success Ability to work effectively under pressure, both independently and as part of a team Confident in using IT and excellent communication skills Cumulative training in mental health and wellness (desirable) First Aid and Mental Health First Aid certification (desirable) Interested, click apply!
