Role Description We are currently seeking Student Success, Placement & Alumni Officers across our campuses in London, Birmingham, Leicester, Manchester & Bradford to assist the department for enhancement of effective graduation outcome for our students under the college's mission, strategic direction, core values, and policies, also maintain required benchmark from regulatory bodies such as the Office for Students (OfS).
Student Success, Placement & Alumni Officer will be responsible for facilitating continuous support to students throughout the academic year, engaging actively in their placement & employability journey.
This includes responding promptly to emails, participating in direct engagements, and providing support across all aspects of their educational programmes.
The role covers administrative responsibilities such as maintaining relation with Chamber of Commerce in relevant area,.
Engagement of employer, monitoring individual needs for employability, and job fairs engagement, and ensuring that these details are correctly reported in the college's database.
The ideal candidate should be available during busy periods and weekends if required, particularly during intake times.
Key Responsibilities: Student Success, Placement & Alumni Officer will be responsible for facilitating continuous support to students throughout the academic year, engaging actively in their placement & employability journey.
Collaborate with learners, employers, and staff to help students achieve their career goals.
The role covers administrative responsibilities such as maintaining relation with Chamber of Commerce in relevant area.
Engagement of employer, monitoring individual needs for employability, and job fairs engagement Develop new placement opportunities and ensure timely, effective communication with employers to maintain satisfaction.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with employers and agencies.
Work with external partners, employers, and agencies.
Keep the CRM updated with past, current, and potential work placements.
Source high-quality, sustainable work experience and industry placements for learners aged 24 and over.
Assist the department for arranging job fairs through partner employers.
Act as the main contact for employers while they host students on work placements.
Facilitate communication with students regarding their placements.
Monitor student engagement and provide reports to academic staff and programme leads.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support student placement progress.
Manage data entry and database systems to track student progress and compliance.
Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance service delivery Qualifications Experience in Student Success, Placement & Alumni and regulatory compliance Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student information systems CRM Responsible for any data share information about student records with authorised stakeholders (example our University partner/s etc) Managing data accessibility, accuracy, confidentiality and integrity from student admissions to graduation including alumni and dropouts Administering different aspects of examinations in align with the exam/invigilation policies – i.e from scheduling, invigilation and storing ( where applicable) Attention to detail and accuracy in data management Knowledge of British education policies and procedures Relevant certification or degree in Education or related field Essential Criteria: Undergraduation in related field Understanding of B3 statistics and National Student Survey (NSS) results for a Higher Education Institution (HEI).
Understanding of the Higher Education landscape in the UK, including knowledge of relevant policies, regulations, and compliance standards.
Must know HEI and private sector Administrative experience and a strong record of increasingly responsible leadership in academic administrations, including supervisory and management experience Experience working in a diverse higher education environment and a commitment to advancing racial equity and justice Ability to deal sensitively with confidential information and ensure that the office maintains a high degree of professionalism and discretion Strong written and oral communication skills Compensation and Perks: Salary: £26,000 to £29,000 Working Hours: 9 am to 6 pm, on-site.
Travel requirements for business purposes.
Annual Leave: 28 days plus bank holidays.
Incentives: Up to £5k annually, based on quarterly KPIs post-probation.
Salary Growth: 3% annual increase, subject to KPI achievement.
A generous relocation allowance is available for candidates considering a move to either Birmingham or Manchester campuses.
