Overview Our Client is seeking a structural engineer to join our recently established consultancy, and become a part of the structural team in its early stages to enhance their capacity for commercial, domestic, and industrial engineering solutions.

The company is in Attleborough, Norfolk, between Thetford and Norwich on the A11 corridor, making commuting convenient.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated engineer who is seeking a new challenge.
The ideal candidate should be able to take a leading role on projects with a growing client base, working on projects across the East of England and nationally.
The workload is varied, involving structural surveys, inspections, due diligence, and alterations to existing buildings.
We work closely with our clients to ensure they receive exceptional service, while prioritising effective communication and continuous training for our staff to meet industry demands.
As a structural engineer, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of engineering services, gaining exposure to various sectors and projects.
After initial training, you will be expected to work independently with guidance from our team.
This role also involves some team management responsibilities, allowing engineering enthusiasts to continue designing while assisting with team management.
About the Job This is a full-time, permanent position at 40 hours per week at our office near Attleborough.
About the Candidate The ideal candidate will have a background in civil/structural engineering, with experience in designing civil and structural assets for a consultancy or contractor.
Familiarity with quality assurance systems is preferred.

Role and Responsibilities - Report to the Company Director as required - Conduct detailed design calculations - Manage design delivery for projects - Co-ordinate design drawings and prepare specifications - Assist with client solutions - Manage team projects and resources - Collaborate with internal and external design teams - Conduct structural surveys and provide advice - Present designs to clients - Use BIM tools for coordination - Visit construction sites to monitor progress and provide advice Experience and Skills Required - Progress towards Chartered membership - Excellent communication skills - UK driving license - Structural design experience with core materials - Proficiency in AutoCAD - Experience with modelling packages - Experience in structural surveys and reports - Familiarity with design processes and techniques - Ability to work independently and seek assistance when needed - Strong organisational skills - Commitment to personal development - Professionalism in interactions with clients and colleagues - Demonstrated integrity - Collaboration skills - Willingness to learn new processes and software, and adapt to tasks as needed.
