Role Summary: Our client are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CAD Technician with an engineering background to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings for fabrication and installation of structural projects, including mezzanine floors and staircases.
The ideal candidate will have experience in CAD software and a strong understanding of structural engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities: Produce detailed CAD drawings (2D and 3D) for fabrication and construction of structural steelwork, staircases, and mezzanine floors.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure drawings meet technical specifications and project requirements.
Review and revise drawings based on client feedback, ensuring all modifications comply with industry standards and regulations.
Provide technical support to fabrication teams during the manufacturing and installation phases.
Maintain accurate records of drawings and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct site visits as needed to gather measurements and assess project requirements.
Required Skills/Qualifications: Proven experience as a CAD Technician in an engineering or structural environment.
Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, particularly related to steelwork and mezzanine floor designs.
Ability to interpret and produce detailed engineering drawings for fabrication.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience working on mezzanine floors, structural steel, or related fabrication projects.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Experience using 3D modelling software or BIM software (e.g., Revit).
