Due to rapid growth within the business, we are currently recruiting for a Streetworks & Planning Manager to join our vibrant and dynamic team!
At OCU Opals, we design, build, manage and maintain vital communications infrastructure for every-day use for a better-connected world.
We work with major network operators, technology vendors and engineering companies to design, build, manage and maintain the next generation of communication networks.

Responsibilities: Oversee all Streetworks activities, including permit applications, compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA), Traffic Management Act (TMA), and local authority regulations.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, ensuring that works are executed efficiently and in line with telecoms deployment schedules.
Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and third-party stakeholders to ensure seamless planning and execution.
Ensure that all necessary permits, notices, and licenses are applied for and obtained in a timely manner.
Liaise with local authorities, highways agencies, and other relevant bodies to facilitate smooth project delivery.
Ensure all works comply with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and relevant Streetworks legislation.
Identify potential risks and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, councils, and highways agencies to foster collaboration and resolve any Streetworks-related issues or disputes.
Report information to the Programme Manager to allow the Programme to be kept up to date.
What we are looking for: Strong knowledge of NRSWA, TMA, and related Streetworks permitting and noticing systems.
Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in GIS/mapping software and familiar with telecoms network planning tools.
