You will be recognised as the impartial category authority, a growth consultant for our Buyers; responsible for highlighting opportunities, developing and delivering initiatives that will drive category & brand growth & differentiate Colgate-Palmolive from its competition.
You will influence upstream the Revenue Growth Management (RGM) initiatives and growth narratives that we demonstrate with the UK and Irish trade.
You will elevate our Category Management service to that of a strategic, visionary category consultant, aligned with & demonstrating our RGM initiatives, and driving engagement at multiple levels of our retail partners, on a multi-year horizon.
You will set us apart from our competitors by offering an outstanding service and demonstrating the leadership to grow our categories.
You will collaborate widely through the use of category intelligence, shopper-centric insights and a sound understanding of the our key challenges in order to deliver an outstanding category service.
What you will do Ensure outstanding category development principles are delivered day in, day out.
Conduct regular category environmental assessments that help us & our customers fully understand the category challenges and improve opportunities.
Share category expertise across the wider business community to deepen customer & category understanding.
Proactively identify commercial opportunities.
Work with Customer Development & Marketing Teams to implement proven 5P recommendations & tactics that drive growth.
Build & develop independent relationships with customers, establishing Colgate-Palmolive as the go to key partner for objective category & shopper insights.
Work cross functionally to develop and externalise category trade stories for Oral Care & Personal Care to unlock category growth for Colgate-Palmolive and our partners.
Provide key input into the direction & implementation of NPD.
Adapt, implement & champion ongoing dialogue & execution of our Category Growth Drivers with customers.
Develop customer specific growth plans (internally and externally).
Proactively sell-in Colgate Palmolive's Category Management expertise with the aim of establishing Colgate Palmolive as the first point of contact for Category Planning & shopper insight and improving sales growth for the category.
Who Are You Educated to degree level At least 5 years' expertise in Category Management roles Ideally cross-functional experience, in Customer Development / Marketing Deep understanding of key Category Management methodologies and approaches and a clear knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of various techniques.
