Overview of role Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme Salary: £30479.65 Shifts:  Monday to Friday The Store Person role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of food manufacturing processes by maintaining an efficient and organised inventory system.
You will ensure the procurement  of all flour, ingredients, packaging, & associated materials are supplied to enable the day-to-day operation of the manufacturing process.
You will also be responsible for the operation of all ISO/Quality system procedures relating to stores routine and for continuous improvement in cost, quality of service.
Key Accountabilities Key Accountabilities: Ordering all flour, ingredient, packaging & associated supplies for the site to ensure continual production. Manage effective stock control procedures including mismatch reports, causing & corrective actions. Process all purchase orders, receipt orders on receiving goods & process returned goods documentation via the SAP system. Responsible for supplying correct information for yield & flour reconciliation daily, to Plant Managers. Maintain system & records highlighting to management supply difficulties, slow moving stocks & obsolescence. Ensure adequate supplies of materials in the stores & replenish stock in all areas daily keeping areas tidy. Complete a physical stock check at close of business each week. Ensure silos on a weekly basis are emptied  or emptied  on a regular basis agreed with the site manager. Liaise with suppliers on a regular basis ensuring timely deliveries, the correct quality & specification of raw materials. Have a good working knowledge of company procedures regarding purchasing & stock control. The Right Person Skills and Experience: Previous experience within a warehousing environment is desirable, preferably FMCG. Ability to work to a high standard to ensure site quality and safety standards are met. Experience with ordering/forecasting systems. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.
