Stock Controller Location: Witham, Essex Salary: £27,000 per year Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Position Overview: Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Goods Receiving / Stock Controller to join their team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of inventory and the timely receipt of goods.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the receipt of goods and ensure accuracy in delivery against purchase orders.
identification of goods packing of goods recording of non-stock items movement of stock from the warehouse to the machine.
Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels regularly.
Organise and manage the storage of goods to optimise space and accessibility.
Conduct regular stock checks and assist in inventory audits.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
Operate a Fork Truck to facilitate the movement of stock as needed.
Key Requirements: A valid Fork Truck license is non-negotiable.
Previous experience in a goods receiving or stock control role is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient in using inventory management systems and software.
