Physical Inventory Controller Location: Bolton, UK Monday – Thursday: 07:15-16:00 Fridays: 07:15-13:00 £30,000 Due to an internal promotion, an opportunity has arisen for the role of a Physical Inventory Controller.
The Inventory Controller's primary contact is with the Warehouse supervisor but there will be a need to liaise with CSR's (Customer Service Representatives), Service functions (Commercial), Supply Chain, Vendors, buyers and auditors.
Main Functions of the Role: - Maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain an accurate inventory level throughout all areas of the business.
- Work closely with each department to drive stock management improvements across the business.
- Coordinate to keep the Warehouse Supervisor abreast of requirement needs and schedules.
- Ensure correct authorization is approved through the correct channels for stock adjustments.
- Normal day shift working, but with a flexible working approach to additional hours in the warehouse if required.
- Ensure SAP is up to date with inventory levels.
- Submit monthly reports to the finance department.
- Required to participate in company audits to meet legal requirements.
- Investigate root causes of stock losses and implement improvements to prevent it happening again.
- Conduct vendor stock takes in line with company policy.
- Potentially required to travel to vendors and complete vendor checks - Conduct WIP checks on production orders.
- Conduct WIP checks on service management orders.
- Drive on time checks of customer consignment stock Useful/Desirable: - The inventory controller must have previous experience in stock environment and be computer literate.
- Must be familiar with and have a working knowledge of stock management and stock accuracy.
- Good interpersonal communication skills are required to build a key working relationship with other departments.
- A full understand of the importance of stock accuracy within a production environment.
