Stock ControllerBased at our flagship Distribution Centre, the Stock Controller's key responsibility is to provide an excellent service to internal and external customers.
You will continuously review all warehouse stock and trade operative van stocks to improve the number of first time fixes from van stock, and subsequently improve repairs colleague capacity and customer satisfaction.What you'll be doingReview daily stock usage by repairs colleagues to determine the scheduling order for van stock reviewsAnalyse van stock data and evaluate improvements in job completion rates by operatives, based on stock reviews, and report findingsCollaborate with various colleagues including Planning Coordinators, Fleet Coordinator, and Warehouse Manager to schedule reviews, manage vehicle changes, and handle van stock adjustments, including sourcing and stocking new itemsConduct full van stock audits recording differences, reporting any significant stock variances and replenishing to the correct stock levelsPrepare new operative van stockIdentify frequently hired tools and inform the Supply Chain Manager on order that those tools can be purchasedAssist with responsive operative order requests raising purchase orders with suppliersCollaborate with the Warehouse Manager to ensure material availability at the distribution centre, monitor stock systems, analyse discrepancies, and report issues as neededEnsure Distribution Centre orders placed with suppliers are monitored and are delivered on required datesProduce detailed monthly reports highlighting operative responsive ordering behaviourAssist in other areas when required due to operational needsWhat we need from youA commitment to understand the challenges and opportunities that exist in the communities in which we work.
