Role Overview The Stock and Procurement Manager at Crate Bar & Pizzeria plays a vital role in ensuring we maintain target profitability.
As Stock and Procurement Manager, you will build strong relationships with our suppliers, provide support to the Head Chef and Venue Manager in procurement decisions, and be ultimately responsible for cellar operations.
The ideal candidate will be someone who understands how to manage budgets, cash flow and forecasting, and enjoys working as part of a team.
This is a full time position (40 hours) based in our bar in Hackney Wick.
Salary: £34-£40k depending on experience, plus tips and bonus scheme (to be agreed separately).
Key Responsibilities Line management responsibilities of cellar support team, including internal recruitment and training.Responsibility of P&L, forecasting and procurement with support and input from the Venue Manager and Financial Controller.Ultimate responsibility for maintaining an acceptable GP percentage in line with targets.Financially fluent with a good understanding of cost control.Ultimate responsibility for all stock management across the bar and kitchen.Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, researching new products and writing proposals to add them to our current listings.Shift management including providing support to the supervisor and manager team.Liaising with supervisors and managers to ensure all on shift tasks are completed to the required standards.Representation in project team.Balancing company sustainability objectives with financial targets.Proactively managing stock issues including overstock and understock, including liaising with the marketing team where appropriate.All duty management responsibilities including opening and closing the venue when required.Responsibility for maintenance, compliance and H&S of the cellar and stock holding areas.Interest in growing with the company, with the view to look after group procurement and logistics over multiple sites.Benefits: Free staff meal and a drink when working on site, plus free coffee, fruit and staff soft drinks fridge.Generous staff discount package across the whole building (Crate & Silo).A summer and winter whole building staff party.Cycle to work scheme.Salary sacrifice pension scheme.Employee assistance programme.To apply, please send your CV and cover letter to ******.
