Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for recent graduates in English, Maths, Science and Psychology to join one of one our client schools in West Yorkshire as Teaching Assistants.
The highlights of this position will include: You will earn a competitive salary between £85 and £100 per day.
There are full-time, part-time, and day-to-day positions available to accommodate to any other commitments such as further studies.
This is an ideal first step for you to gain experience within education.
Through Teaching Personnel, there will be opportunities to be placed into other positions in different schools or onto training courses to support you in your development.
Once you have become a fully qualified teacher, you will be supported by Teaching Personnel in finding a permanent placement school.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for: You must ensure that the pupils are gaining a better understanding of the subject by working with them in small groups or on a one-to-one basis.
You must ensure that the pupils that you are working with remain focussed on the current task.
You should use your own knowledge to answer any questions that the pupils may have throughout the lessons.
You must support the Teacher in the preparation and delivery of lessons.
In order to be able to work within this school, it is essential that you are willing to undergo a fully enhanced child workforce DBS check to ensure that you do not have any criminal convictions that would prevent you from working within a school.
You will also be required to put this onto the update service to ensure that it remains accurate.
You must also provide a minimum of two employment-based references that cover the last two years of your work history.
You will also be required to complete a short online safeguarding course.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
