Steel Fixer

Thorn Baker are looking to recruit 2 x experienced steel fixers for work to start in Cannock, Wallsall (WS12) for a nationwide company.
Work will commence on the 18th November with plenty of hours avaialable.You will be working on an industrial estate in CannockExperience and Qualifications requiredFull understanding of duties required for Steel Fixing.Experienced Steel worker with previous experience of carrying out installation and erection of steel on site.Ability to read and understand steel fixing drawings.CSCS Card Blue (Skilled Worker)Manual HandlingWork may involve:• Use hand and power tools to cut and bend bars or mesh• Erect steel reinforcement for the construction of concrete structures (columns, walls, decks and so on)• Tie rebar (reinforcement bars) together with wire, clips or welds to build up cages or sections• Apply spacing blocks as specified• Install beams and pre-cast slabs and fixing steel to concrete bases
