On behalf of Tesco Bank, AMS are now looking for a Statutory Accounting and Reporting Manager - IFRS and TGAP to work in their Insurance and Money Services team based in Edinburgh for an initial contract length of 4 Months , will run until End Feb 2025.
Our roles are hybrid, however you should be able to travel to our Edinburgh office, 2 days per week for this position.

Job Description - The Role We're looking for a Statutory Accounting and Reporting Manager (known internally as a Technical Reporting Manager) to join our Insurance and Money Services team.
You'll have exposure across the Finance function in this role, providing confidence in the integrity of all statutory, Group and regulatory reporting outputs.
A key element of the role will also be providing advice to the wider Finance team on the accounting considerations for all aspects of the IMS business.
You will have the opportunity to be involved in a range of different areas, including supporting the business with accounting queries on contracts, product design or changes in external requirements amongst others.
Key stakeholders will include the Senior Technical Reporting Manager, Head of Financial Control, Product and Cost Finance teams, Tesco Group and external auditors.
Key responsibilities: Preparing statutory accounts, including coordinating relevant internal stakeholders and liaising with external auditors Preparing and submitting consolidated monthly reporting to Tesco Group, becoming an SME on the alignment of IMS/Group reports Keeping up to date with statutory reporting changes, assessing impact and implementing any required changes.
Supporting all areas of Finance in developing appropriate accounting for all types of transaction undertaken by the IMS business, ensuring compliance with IFRS and TGAP.
Support with all other external reporting requirements, including regulatory reporting and tax.
Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, primarily other FC teams, Risk, Planning & Reporting, Decision Support, Group Finance, Legal/Co Sec.
Proactively identifying and managing the risks within technical reporting, ensuring they are within the IMS business risk appetite tolerance and policies are complied with.
Candidate Profile: Key accountabilities, skills & experience Professional accountancy qualification (minimum 3 years qualified experience).
Significant previous experience in a finance environment, including general ledger reporting and a strong understanding of statutory reporting requirements and compliance.
Audit Experience an advantage.
Understanding of relevant external regulation.
Pro-active attitude and a desire to learn Ability to build relationships across a Finance function.
Experience in Insurance or Financial Services.
