About the team Join our Flight Supply team within the Supply department, where you'll play a key role in expanding and optimising our flight offerings.
We're responsible for integrating with flight suppliers, ensuring a wide selection, competitive pricing, accurate availability, and seamless fulfilment for our customers' holiday packages.

You'll contribute to bringing new integrations online, identifying supplier opportunities, and ensuring our platform effortlessly handles billions of flight combinations.

The impact you'll have: Reporting to the Lead Engineer for the Flight Supply team, you will focus on optimising breadth of choice, cost & availability accuracy and ensure scalability for our flights offering.
Your day-to-day: Contributing to a high-performing Flight Supply team by applying our engineering principles.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment and monitoring, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and efficient.
Developing software in Go or Java.
Deploying applications via Google Cloud and Kubernetes.
Monitoring the performance of applications through Prometheus and Grafana.
Mentoring other engineers within the team on best practices.
Your skillset: You have extensive experience coding in Go and/or Java.
You are an experienced and motivated engineer who consistently leads by example.
You enjoy collaborating with other engineers through pair programming.
You have proven experience in building scalable and high-performance applications, employing cutting edge algorithms, software design and technologies to do so.
Applying a product mindset, you solve for end users first, with technology being a means to an end.
You have a constant interest in learning more about the latest trends in technology, and want to grow further.

You own applications end to end, from specification to coding, to deploying, running and monitoring in production.
Desirable You have experience deploying applications in Kubernetes through Google Cloud.
You have experience managing infrastructure as code with Terraform.
You are comfortable using BigQuery to analyse data to help identify areas of opportunity within the team.
