We have strengthened our nurse leadership, have clear and exciting nursing pathways with training and development to support aspirations.
You'll have access to training in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, advance clinical practice, psychosocial interventions, etc.
at master's level.We will provide a structured induction and ongoing support from managers and senior clinicians.
We also offer preceptorships as well as the Flyer Programme.
We understand everyone has different commitments outside of work, so can offer flexibility around working hours and patterns.

Main duties of the job Support service users and staff to understand the complexities of distress and how we support people through difficult times and indeed their families.
Undertake risks assessments and evaluation of their impacts in the management and containment of patients with mental disorders.
To ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, compassionate and cost-effective nursing care that is compliant with established clinical pathways Maintain liaison with careers, relatives of service users, participate actively in clinical update, reviews for assessment and evaluation of care.Participate in medication management and administration, mentoring of pre-qualified nursing students and supervision of junior staff and support students in practice as a supervisor.Maintain a high standard of clinical practice and patient care using evidence-based interventions and leadership skills.
Collaborative working with other professionals and members of multidisciplinary team.
Liaison with external agencies, Police, Court, Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT/AMHT), social services.
Applicants must be Registered Mental Health Nurses able to work in a challenging, dynamic and recovery focused environment.

Desirable criteria Experience of working as a Band 5 in an acute mental health setting Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications.
Essential criteria Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse - NMC.IT literate.Fluent command of the English language and ability to complete and maintain written records professionally.Skills and confidence in clinical risk assessment and management.Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2007.Safely practice person-centred care and evidence-based practise.Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.Understand and work towards making the acute mental health inpatient environment neurodiverse-friendly.
Desirable criteria Can demonstrate clear evidence of Continued Professional Development.Qualification in psychosocial interventions.
Leadership Essential criteria Able to co-ordinate a span of duty on a mental health acute male adult ward.
Desirable criteria Able to handle complaints sensitively and effectively.
Training and facilitation of leaning.
Essential criteria Demonstrate willingness to be involved in mentoring students.Demonstrate willingness to coach healthcare assistants.
