These posts require PVG Scheme membership /Disclosure Scotland Check.Theatre registered practitioner /ODP Band 5.All Posts will be based within the Day Surgery unit RAH in the Clyde Sector of NHSGGC.Do you want to become part of a dynamic and friendly team?The unit consists of two operating theatres a day case ward area , recovery room and new for 2023 a diagnostics HUB.
The unit provides peri operative care for patients undergoing a range of surgical procedures including, Gynaecology, Urology, General Surgery, cardiology and endoscopy.
In addition to having current NMC/HCPC registration applicants should be enthusiastic, motivated and have an interest of working in the peri-operative environment.
Previous experience within the peri-operative environment, is a definite advantage however not essential as the department offers team support and continuing education opportunities.
There is also a dedicated perioperative education SCN within this remit.The department also supports continued professional development opportunities with placements being supported at GCU .The successful candidates are required to demonstrate flexibility by working within a service, which runs over a 5 day week.
Furthermore, the successful candidates will be expected where necessary to engage in multi-site working within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde in order to achieve the needs of the service.Details on how to contact the Recruitment Service can be found within the Candidate Information Packs.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.
This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
