Staff Nurse - Infusion Suite

We are recruiting for a Staff Nurse for Infusion Suite who wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients receive quality and compassionate care and work with us to ensure the Trust continues its journey towards great people, great place.

Main duties of the job The post holder will have a pivotal role in the delivery of intravenous therapies within the infusion service.

The post holder will independently and proactively review referrals and manage the service caseload alongside the Clinical Lead.

The post holder will have to work within a multidisciplinary environment and as an autonomous practitioner across the acute directorate.

The post holder will report to the Clinical Lead as directed.

Maintain patient comfort, dignity and privacy at all times.

Demonstrate a continued commitment to professional development.

Maintain high standards of care in an environment, which promotes equality and sensitivity for all individuals.

Insert and manage appropriate intravenous access devices, including peripheral cannula.

Provide outpatient infusions.

Provide Venesections.

Provide transfusions.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Registered Nurse with current NMC Registration. Formal skills and experience in venepuncture cannulation, IV drug administration through PVAD. Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., ENB 998 or mentorship qualification). Committed to ongoing professional development. Evidence of broad training in infusion therapy for a range of conditions gained through practical experience. Physical Skills Essential Meet professional health requirements. Ability to work flexibly to meet service needs. Aptitudes Essential Appropriate level of clinical knowledge. Up-to-date with good knowledge and use of evidence-based practice. Knowledge of infection prevention & control. Abilities Essential Ability to develop effective working relationships on an individual and multi-disciplinary basis with all levels of staff. Ability to communicate effectively with all grades of colleagues. Ability to be a flexible team member. Ability to effectively organise workload. Communication Skills Essential Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team. Understand boundaries and levels of competencies.
