Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, registered nurse with a passion for caring for oncology patients to join our dedicated team in the brand-new Christie at Macclesfield.
The SACT Unit, The Christie at MacclesfieldWe are a caring, well-led unit with a good staff to patient ratio.
We are a day case unit offering treatments to all specialties.The Role and TeamOn appointment you would receive a comprehensive supernumerary training package, in which you have exposure to different anti-cancer treatments in different disease group fields and complete the UKONs SACT passport.
You will gain experience in treating a variety of patients with potentially curative diseases, alongside palliative and clinical trial treatments.
During your supernumerary period, you will complete most of your training at main Christie hospital Oak Road Treatment Centre.

We also open on Bank Holidays.
Main duties of the job To safely administer SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy) to Christie patients attending the unit.To provide care for chemotherapy patients and their carers within a recognised framework in accordance with NMC Code of Professional Conduct, Christie NHS Trust policies and Health & Safety legislation.
