Job summary The James Paget University Hospital is passionate about getting it right for our patients and their families.
In order to achieve this we are looking to recruit enthusiastic, experienced Emergency Nurses to join our supportive, progressive, professional and friendly team.
Main duties of the job As a Staff Nurse working in the Emergency Department you will be a valued member of the team, providing high quality care to patients, in a professional, compassionate and competent manner.
You will be able to contribute ideas and support clinical initiatives in order to provide evidence based patient care.To assess basic and specialist care needs of patients and implement without direct supervision.
Our nurses are expected to act in such a manner as to justify public trust and confidence to safeguard the interest of individual patients.

Person Specification Education & Qualifications Essential Registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Degree in Nursing Desirable Assessor/Supervisor training Emergency Nurse level one competancy Post qualification course in relevant subject Experience & Knowledge Essential Currently working in an Acute Trust Desirable Recent/Current ED experience Skills Essential Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Confident and calm attitude with the ability to work under pressure Demonstrates caring attitude towards patients and colleagues Desirable Extended skills relevant to role
