Term Time Only Brief description of duties and responsibilities: Ensure that childrens are properly cared for and supervised; including feeding, selfcare and changing nappies.
Supporting childrens play and relationships Prepare meals and snacks, involving the children as much as possible.
Implement the principles of EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) Support children's independence and development.
Monitor, track and record children's development and provide core feedback to parents in person and through tapestry, in conjunction with the manager, and carry out parent consultations events as required.
Contribute to managing inventory, ordering materials resources and consumable Keep the nursery clean, tidy and organised Ensure fruit and vegetables are purchased for snacks on a rota basis.
Contribute to planning if necessary Attending Friday morning review meeting and regular staff meetings Working to promote safeguarding, equality and diversity and values in the setting.
Administering First Aid and medication if qualified and filling in accident forms.
Reporting Accidents to the management.
Qualifications: Minimum of a EYFS level 2 Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children Skills: Knowledge of early childhood education theories and practices Ability to create engaging lesson plans and activities Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to establish positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues Patience, empathy, and understanding of the needs of young children Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities, qualifications, and skills required for the position of Early Years Educator.
