Responsibilities Build C++ software components that follow industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment modelsDevelop excellent software for use in field mapping, data collection, sensor networks, street navigation, and moreCollaborate with other programmers and developers throughout the development processDefine user requirements; design and develop applications and APIs for devicesEnsure that ArcGIS software meets real-world usage scenariosSolve and articulate complex problems with application design, development, and user experiences Requirements 5+ years of commercial/academic software development experienceFluent and passionate about modern C++ (11/14/17/20) and associated technologies (STL, Boost, and more)Object oriented design skillsUnderstanding of algorithms and design patternsAbility to work closely with the team to build quality software in a constantly evolving environmentEffective time management and organisational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBachelors in computer science, engineering, mathematics, mapping, GIS, or related field Recommended Qualifications Experience with IDEs, compilers, and development tools for Linux, Windows, macOS , iOS, or AndroidKnowledge of developing applications using Qt, Swift, Kotlin, and/or .NETProficiency with OpenGL, DirectX, Metal or VulkanFamiliarity with GIS applications and technologiesExperience in designing and developing RESTful web servicesExperience in complimentary design approaches such as Data-Oriented, Parallelization and Compile-timeMasters in computer science, engineering, mathematics, mapping, GIS, or related field -------------------------------Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy.
Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
