We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our EMEA Finance and Accounting team in Edinburgh.
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in driving credible financial reporting across multiple countries whilst supporting projects and process improvements to support Dexcom's long-term growth.Where you come in:You will perform monthly closing of financial records across various companies and offices ensuring EMEA wide reporting is well-coordinated, timely and accurate.You will support internal and external audits for both group and local statutory purposes and help lead cross EMEA compliance across the multiple jurisdictions by collaborating with external and internal business partners.You will assist in preparation of monthly reporting packages for management review including variance analyses and reconciliations.You will develop and analyse recommendations for process improvements with a focus towards efficiency, completeness, and accuracy.You will work closely with IT to support financial systems testing.You will support the implementation and maintenance of systems and policies and procedures, to ensure adherence to company guidelines and proper internal controls for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and other relevant regulations.You will provide timely accounting and analytical assistance to finance and other company personnel and respond to financial questions to meet business needs.What makes you successful:You have prior background in a financial accounting roleYou have experience of US GAAP and/or IFRS reportingYou have strong analytical and problem-solving skillsYou have strong personal computer and business solutions software skills including advanced excel skills.You have Oracle or other major ERP system experience.You have public company and SOX experienceYou're a self-starter with a proven track record of multi-tasking abilities and meeting deadlinesYou have an excellent verbal and written communication skillsWhat you'll get:A front row seat to life changing CGM technology.
