SQL Developer6-month contractInside IR35Remote/CardiffWe are looking for experienced developers to join the multi-disciplinary Integration Platform team developing software for a new Integration platform.You will mainly be working to deliver a new messaging platform, working with emerging healthcare technologies, standards, clinical data stores, web services and helping to develop the next wave of digital platforms for the NHS.Working as part of a well-structured Scrum team, under the guidance of experienced team leads, you will have responsibility for delivering individual software components and will get involved in all aspects of MS SQL.
You should have experience in the following areas:Writing complex data manipulation statements using T-SQL as stored procedures and functions.
Familiarity and experience with SQL Server Management Studio 2008 - 2019 Creating, and using, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services packages 2008+.
Normalisation techniques and ER-diagramming to design and create scalable, high-performance databases Familiarity in the following areas will also be advantageous: Agile development methodologies such as ScrumAzure Dev ops (Team Foundation Server)Understanding and implementing SOLID principlesExperience with HL7 v 2.X and FHIR messaging standardsRedgate SQL developer toolsRequirements analysisTSQLT – Unit Testing SQL ProceduresUnix/PowerShell Scripting Knowledge of High Availability solutions, such as Mirroring, Replication, Clustering, and Always On (Availability Groups) Microsoft Power BIExperience of Microsoft SQL Server tools, e.G.
SQL Server Profiler, Query Analyser to help tune queries & create indexes..NET CoreXML Web services or Web APIThis is an NHS contract, the budget available is below the typical rate level.Work will be predominantly remote, but you may need to attend your main base in Cardiff, this is not expensed.
Any requirement to visit other non-core sites will be expensed at NHS rates.You will be required at your own expense to collect and return equipment from your base.
