At Teaching Personnel, we are now seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a background in sports to join our dedicated team to work in and around Secondary Schools in Newport.
As a sporty Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children with a range of additional learning needs, providing tailored support both in and outside the classroom, using sports and physical activity as a tool to engage, motivate, and develop essential life skills in the children you work with. Location: Newport Start Date: ASAP Hours: Full Time.
Monday-Friday Pay: £12.90 per hour (depending on experience) Successful Candidate Criteria: - Supporting children in accessing the curriculum and participating in physical education and other school activities.
- Promoting inclusion and helping children develop both academically and socially.
- Creating a positive, encouraging environment that fosters self-confidence and independence.
- Provide tailored support to students, helping them with academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for all students.
Requirements: - Experience working with children in a school setting is not preferred but is desirable.
- A strong background in sports and physical fitness.
- Excellent communication skills: The ability to clearly communicate with children, teachers, and other staff members.
- DBS and Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration is needed – Teaching Personnel can assist you with applying for these.
