Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the inpatient Speech and Language Therapy team at East Surrey Hospital as a Speech and Language Therapy Technical Instructor.
This post will involve working with patients across all inpatient wards, predominantly with stroke patients but also across specialties in care of the elderly, critical care and paediatrics.The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and person centered.
They must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and and a basic knowledge of rehabilitation.
They will be a team player and be able to work flexibly for the needs of the service.The main duties of this post include assisting the Speech and Language Therapists to carry out swallow and communication therapy programmes for your own patient caseload.
You will have the opportunity to carry out both 1:1 and group therapy sessions.You will have access to out robust in service training programme, regular clinical supervision and peer support meetings.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in student education.
