Start Date: Immediate or Flexible Start Location: Putney/Barnes Area Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time (5 days a week) Band: Open to all Bands (Band 5, 6, or 7) Pay: Based on NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) pay scale, dependent on experience.
Role Overview: Working with children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Speech and Language Delays, and Social Communication Difficulties.
Supporting pupils in various settings, such as mainstream schools, special schools, or community settings within the local area.
Providing individual and group therapy interventions, assessments, and tailored support plans to meet pupils' communication needs.
Collaborating with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic, person-centered care.
Writing reports and maintaining accurate records of progress.
Key Requirements: Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration.
Experience working with SEN children and young people, including those with ASD, SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), ADHD, and communication challenges.
Strong understanding of relevant therapeutic interventions and strategies for speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with pupils, families, and staff.
