Job Title: Speech and Language Assistant Location: North West England, Lancashire, Blackpool Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £12.85 - £13.50 Per hour Job Duties: Assist children in school with speech and language sessions Support students with speech and language difficulties in the classroom Implement individualised therapy plans under the guidance of therapists Record and maintain accurate progress notes and reports Collaborate with teachers and parents to support students' communication development Required Qualifications: Relevant qualification in speech and language therapy assistance Experience working with children or young adults with speech and language difficulties Education: Minimum of a relevant certification in speech and language therapy assistance Experience: Prior experience working with individuals with speech and language difficulties Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of speech and language disorders Ability to implement therapy plans effectively Strong communication and interpersonal skills Organisational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications in speech and language therapy assistance Experience working in an educational setting Working Conditions: This role involves working in educational settings, collaborating with therapists, teachers, and parents.
The assistant may need to adapt to different classroom environments and student needs.
The job may require occasional travel within the region.
