Job overview Thank you for taking the time to consider your application for this role as a Specialty Physiotherapist in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit.
Due to the promotion of the current post holder we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Physiotherapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality services and optimising care.
You will join our Acute Neurosciences Therapy team and be a key member of the team delivering patient care in the Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit, working collaboratively with the dynamic multi-professional team on the -bedded Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to deliver early high-quality specialist assessments and rehabilitation.
You will manage a clinical caseload of highly complex neurosurgical and neuro-medical patients.

Main duties of the job To provide high quality, safe and effective Physiotherapy services, as part of an effective multi- professional team, to patients requiring acute neuroscience care.To work collaboratively with patients and their carers to effectively assess, goal plan and treat patients following admission to hospital and strive to maximise their independence and quality of life.To supervise and teach recently qualified Physiotherapists, support workers and Physiotherapy students.To actively participate in quality improvement, clinical audit, and research projects to improve the delivery of quality, evidence-based rehabilitation.To take an active part in the team's extended hours and seven-day working roster to maximise the access and delivery of acute neurological rehabilitation.
