Specialist To Advanced Health Improvement Practitioner

Job summary We are keen to appoint a candidate with the experience and expertise necessary to lead on the data and intelligence input into key programmes of work, and could appoint the right candidate directly to the Grade 12 position.
Main duties of the job As a Specialist or Advanced Health Improvement Practitioner with a specific portfolio for data and health intelligence, you will be responsible for analysing, evaluating, and interpreting data from a range of sources, to inform the development of public health programmes, statutory reports and publications.
You will have a key role in developing the Oxfordshires Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA), the Oxfordshire Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment 2025 (PNA), the Director of Public Health Annual Report and other needs assessments led by other service areas.
You will develop data reports on Oxfordshires communities and support the implementation of interactive Community Insight Profile dashboard.
Working with your team, you will compile indicator data packs to inform partnership programmes of work, for example for Oxfordshires Health and Wellbeing Strategy.

The role will also require you to lead on in-depth analytical projects to support others within the Public Health team.
You will be responsive to ad-hoc requests such as supporting the response to relevant Freedom of Information requests.
